well, gods damn
\nthese rivers of eden
\nthat lie dormant in songs of red
\nupended and restless
\ni remembered a distant passion
\nan exotic emotion
\nthat continued to drive my flesh
\ntowards another mysterious
\nand spontaneous manifestation<\/p>\n

captured by a turbulent mind
\ni decided to cruise down the road
\nto a not so secluded pond
\nand under the black space of divine creation
\ni stripped down nude
\nfor an empty evening swim
\nthere were no stars
\nnor any moon to speak of
\njust me and my bluetooth speaker
\nfloating in a hollow green plastic bag
\non the cool and late summer waters
\nof heavy illusion
\nand that liquid motion felt so good
\non my naked and spiritually armored carapace
\nas the darkness amplified
\nthose oddly random tunes
\nsoothed my slightly confused
\nand orange soul<\/p>\n

the pond was glorious
\nembraced by it’s cold and comforting grip
\ni floated softly in selective bliss
\nlazily contemplating
\nanother quiet disaster<\/p>\n

slowly i embraced the futility
\nof this nervous matrix
\nas confusion gave way
\nto the anxious stage
\nof traditional ecstasy
\nand in that moment
\nmy spirit was consumed
\nby a solitary and dangerous vision
\nof passive inevitability
\nsnapshots, conversations
\nand then, finally
\nup, onward and home
\njust one more submissive night
\nsurrendering to the coronation
\nof inadequate words<\/p>\n
