stop the clock
\nfor just one moment
\ntoo young, too old
\ntoo fat, too thin
\nquestions with no answers<\/p>\n

sometimes i light em up
\nonly to bring em down
\ncasting spells amidst these
\nmemories without meaning
\nas black trails reveal
\ngreen intentions
\nforced to choose
\nbetween passion and rhythm
\nsometimes we mystify
\nand desecrate
\nthese soft temples
\nwandering, wondering, and waiting
\nfor tired dreams to arise<\/p>\n

the old gods watch us
\nwith narrow eyes
\nand softly weep
\nas we are continually conditioned
\nby false realities
\nand slowly driven mad<\/p>\n
