\naren’t real
\nthe rules you’re told to follow
\naren’t real
\nthe entertainment you use to distract yourself
\nisn’t real
\nthe reality you desperately cling to
\nisn’t real<\/p>\n

hypnotized and watching life
\nthrough a skinny glowing screen
\nyou wonder why the world seems so wrong
\nwhy does up bring you down
\nand why is the left
\nno different from the right
\nwhy the hate
\nwhy the division
\nmetadata, metaverse
\nit’s all just a fantasy curse
\nthe media is a trap
\nand all of this chatter
\nis nothing more than
\ncarefully crafted illusions
\nmeant to capture your soul
\nhistory repeats itself
\nas humanity mutates
\nand false gods
\nplay their twisted games<\/p>\n

but there’s still hope
\nhope lies in a baby’s smile
\nor a cat’s gentle purr
\nhope lies in lovers holding hands
\nor the creation of art
\nhope lies in peaceful protests for change
\nor a spontaneous gathering of friends
\nhope lies in the soothing scent of local flowers
\nor the sacred songs of wayward birds
\nhope lies in laughter
\nand in truth
\nsubstance soothes the wounded mind
\nso tune out
\nand then
\ntune in
\nthe universe gives guidance
\nfind balance
\nbecause natural laws
\nnever change<\/p>\n
