\nbutterfly eyes
\nand pirate dreams
\nmy baby boy is gone<\/p>\n
seventeen years
\nfrom birth till death
\ni watched him grow
\ninto a golden lion
\nhe was a good friend
\nfaithful, classy, and independent
\nhe was always right there
\nwhen i needed him
\ni talked to him
\nand he talked to me
\nlove is it’s own language<\/p>\n
he was lazy and majestic
\nthe king of his castle
\nall my other cats
\nand even my dog(s)
\nknew he was the boss
\nand every morning as soon as i
\nopened my bedroom door
\nthere he was
\nwalking up and down the hall
\nmeowing for food and attention
\nmostly reserved
\nyet sometimes feisty
\nhe was the leader of the pack
\nand with those quiet, piercing eyes
\nhe watched over us all
\ni’ll always remember you, scratchy
\nmy baby boy<\/p>\n
