\nblowing smoke
\nout of a tired monkey’s ass
\nthe side-show is boring
\nand the freaks
\nhave lost their touch
\nthis virtual life
\nis no life
\nto admire
\nbecause
\npictures lie
\nand illusions die
\nas fools sit and wait
\nfor the next manufactured
\nround of amusement<\/p>\n

it’s late
\nin this moon-day afternoon
\nand i haven’t accomplished much
\nthree drinks in
\nand lightly decomposed
\ni’ve decided to compose
\na line or two
\nin preparation
\nfor the pointless week ahead
\nit’s hard work
\nbeing a silent genius
\nbut it’s a sacrifice
\ni’m willing to make
\nbecause words are just whispers
\nconjured from delicious shadows
\nset to enthrall the distracted masses
\nand it’s sad how we become
\ndesensitized
\nwandering from one stranger to the next
\nconveniently wasting time
\nlingering in a dependent state
\nof absent desire
\nthat withers
\nand dies slowly
\non this corrupted vine<\/p>\n

the summer is sliding bye
\nsupine and slightly sedated
\nexcited yet almost conquered
\nsalivating a salacious serenity
\nand sending sleepy signals
\nto drowning souls in heat
\nmy cats know better
\nempty and contemplating the cool reality
\nof this defeated system
\ni utter complicated and useless invocations
\nmeant to kill this false narrative
\nand sit softly
\nslightly out of focus
\ncontent in this abstract myth
\nwaiting for the next
\ngreat conquest arrive<\/p>\n
