\nhaha that’s what we are
\ni don’t believe in coincidence
\nnothing is meant to be
\nunless we
\nmanifest that shit
\nand i embrace moments of
\nhyper-natural awareness
\nas i trace slippery connections
\nunder a subtle degree of separation
\nand sometimes i forget to meditate
\ngrasping at missed chances
\nof secret ghost enchantments
\ni saw this night before it happened
\ni even started writing a poem days before
\nyou were in my (unconscious) mind
\nand i didn’t even know it
\ndid you hear the echoes of old ego death?
\nequations and invocations
\nour bodies and minds somewhat in sync
\nproduced mystical visions and substantial feats
\nas the fire danced to our positive vibrations
\nand we quietly dispelled time
\nwith our magick orchestrations
\nbreathing intentionally
\nand bouncing heartbeats
\nback and forth
\nwe were perfect in that midnight moment
\nsoaked in a raw atmosphere
\nof understanding, connection, and lust
\nremember how you said my hands were so soft
\ni found it absurd and wanted to laugh
\nbut i understand now
\nand as we sat close in nature’s temple
\nwrapped in the orgasmic sounds of the night
\nit was portable love
\nand i do believe we were
\nfeeding each other’s souls
\nremember the pants-less party?
\nwe even drew the kids in
\nand one of them listened
\nand started down the road of truth
\nand did you laugh when i swam
\nand walked around naked(and unafraid)?
\ni felt at home in your wisdom
\nsuch a rare feeling of safety
\nyou were exactly what i needed
\nat that moment
\nriding on metaphorical roads of intensity
\nmy illusions meant nothing
\nin the face of your floating candor
\nremember how we were grateful
\nsolid in the certainty
\nof how this night
\nwas exactly right
\nlying under the stars
\nsometimes all you need is a little
\nopen space chaos
\nmixed with spicy honesty
\ni live for experiences like this
\ni’m glad that i got to
\ncreate something new, with you
\ndesire and symmetry
\npower and synchronicity
\nsummer sacraments
\nspeaking through a new moon
\npassion comes in many forms
\nwith flavors of circumstance
\nbalanced on waves of
\nflesh, reason, and majesty
\ndriving in this divine adventure
\nwe will always have that night on the pond
\n
