i write far away tales
\nin the here and now
\nbalanced on machine moons
\nand measured in marathon melancholy
\nthe sun holds more truth
\nthan all our handcrafted hallucinations
\nand time continues to drift
\nas i ride the the knife’s edge
\non a sleepy red horizon
\nspeaking to unseen morning souls
\nwith tongues of charcoal
\nfrom hidden foxholes
\nthirsty for lyrical intervention
\ni navigate loopholes
\nfishing for spirits on parole<\/p>\n

conformity battles communication
\nas i strike these unforgiving keys
\nin a tone of innocuous segregation
\nand hell is
\nburning forever in submission
\nas this complacent disaster
\nconsumes rapid creatures
\nrunning toward a brilliant end<\/p>\n

i embrace indifferent fantasies
\nbecause emotion is never empty
\nit is quiet, and charged
\nwaiting to be purged
\nand reborn in a storm
\nof complicated animation<\/p>\n

casting misdirected spells and
\nrendering secrets in the wrong format
\ni remember the sea
\nand all those
\ndistant points of light
\ncaptured and waiting
\nlike a fish out of water
\ni’ve got no plans for the weekend
\nmaybe just i need some
\ntough medicine or heavy flesh<\/p>\n

slipping behind these stylish ceremonies
\nperhaps i’ll slowly sabotage
\nthis obscene machine of delicate excess
\nand burn slow angels of random thought
\ntill my green godess arrives<\/p>\n
