fucked and creatively disowned
\nwaiting for a soft touch
\ni’m too calm to be sane
\nand too sane to be real
\nas i hustle absent letters
\nto create empty text<\/p>\n

winter deaths are often the softest
\nand peace favors broken glass
\nlike fresh salt, in an old wound
\nbut this time
\nit’s a different sort of
\naggravation, or disruption
\na chemical new age of un-reason
\nwithering on the surface
\nand asleep in the space between spaces<\/p>\n

slimy metal tongues of nothing
\nburn in spectacular failure
\nas i remember drunken truths
\nand tales of unrequited love
\nrunning from this graveyard socialism
\nwith eyes pointed south
\nthe sidewalks are filled with
\nstolen actions
\nand desperate inspiration
\nor was it just simply
\nfrantic isolation?<\/p>\n

and there’s always taxes and infamy
\ncopulation and capitulation
\nhonor and treachery
\nnegotiation and escape
\nalone on a parasite highway
\nor silent under this ridiculous shelter
\nthe lights are out
\nthe caravan has lost it’s way
\nand morning bodies are curved
\nwith signs of cold wars and black magic
\nwhy is it that honest men
\nsuffer the subtle fate
\nof conscience and conformity<\/p>\n

raving and rebelling
\nin the blue moonlight
\nclad in intoxicated finery
\nand comfortable pajamas
\nit’s time to tune out
\nthis scattered attachment
\nand reboot the storm
\nas vibrant slaves
\nliving in paper harmony
\ncrawl towards another
\nviolent and unfinished stage<\/p>\n

captured and curated
\nin a desolate chorus
\nas symbols undress
\nour predictable symmetry
\nplease promise to revisit
\nthis distant pulse
\nbecause i\u2019m almost alive
\nin this insane picture show
\nready and waiting
\nwith no place left to go
\nscarred and delayed
\na prisoner of soul<\/p>\n

living under
\nsecurity and repetition
\ni’m manifesting rough magic
\nthough a dirty window
\nfaces fear futile features
\nand somehow it’s always quiet
\nin the middle of the day
\nand the middle of the night
\nas i write this confused
\nand curious destiny
\nhoping that someday you will see
\nthe diplomacy
\nof my faint hearted fallacy<\/p>\n
