well shit
\nhere we are again
\nswimming in serenades
\nof subjective sabotage
\nindifferent and working on
\nthe next tragedy
\nred fans and white cigarettes,
\ntwo kittens and the grateful dead
\nuseless
\nand typing another
\nanother alternate reality
\nas sonic showers of sound
\nstrike at ruptured memories
\nand confused sentries
\ncircle round an ugly secret
\nthat hides just behind the sun<\/p>\n

maladies in metaphors
\nwriting live folklore
\nas we stretch beyond humanity’s door
\nto become something more
\nthan puppet whores
\nof these complex and futile wars<\/p>\n

beware tall men
\nand their short orders
\ndistant and dead-eyed
\nthey are limiting our
\nscattered responses
\nas confrontation continues
\nto hammer the brain
\nbut fury has a way of
\noverwhelming fear
\nand i wonder if they know
\nhow strong
\nthese skinny hearts
\nbeat and bleed?<\/p>\n

signals are set to appease
\nso ignore the silicon junkies
\nof society’s tired hierarchies
\nand where are my copper keys?<\/p>\n

reaping rabies and rubies
\nwill you walk with me
\nas i observe this
\nelectric overture
\nof spectral architecture
\nduplicitous, and surrendering
\nto a digital dichotomy
\nwith chakras and body parts
\nstimulated, and aligned
\nat just the right frequency
\nelucidated,
\nwe can no longer be intimidated
\nor sedated
\nby accommodated reason<\/p>\n

can you hear the lazy peasant drum
\ngetting louder
\ngaining momentum
\nand reaching for a baptism
\nof beautiful distortion
\nas intoxicated and invisible energies stir
\nforming new and adventurous gods
\nunder our collective collapsing star<\/p>\n

blessed by capricious cats
\nand captivating commas
\ni’m counting cajun crosses
\nin the eyes of dirty zombies
\nso give me an organic verse
\nof exotic and disruptive poetry
\nto enhance and entrance
\nthe still and salivating masses
\nchallenging them to experiment
\nwith slippery exploration
\ndefying boredom
\nand the face of quiet insanity<\/p>\n

breathe and be free
\ndon\u2019t let your soul
\nslip through the cracks<\/p>\n
