demon spit
\nchewing the fat
\nof another industrial day
\nand sitting at an empty gate
\nas we restlessly contemplate
\nthe zebra mind
\nof this obscene and dying fate<\/p>\n

bleached out
\nin subtle tones of the dead
\na calypso cat
\nlies quietly to the side
\nwaiting for roaming tales prophesied
\nand with an elastic cough
\ni light another hopeless cigarette
\nin hopes of exchanging
\nhastily painted fallacies
\nfor intricate new age heart breaths<\/p>\n

there’s no medication
\nto exhume this nervous sedation
\nbut the quiet purr
\nof my black and white kitten
\nalmost sets me right
\nthe temple is abandoned
\nbut chances at lazy freedom
\nare still given
\nso color this empty space
\nwith the rendition of
\ntimeless decoration
\nand sing me one final song
\ncuz i’ve got my head in the clouds
\nand my feet in the mud<\/p>\n

flip that silver coin
\nand drop another hit
\nperhaps you should
\ndistrust these exclamatory
\nand late words
\ntrusting instead
\nin the sonic vibrations
\nof scarred and curious hands
\nseeking another tired soul<\/p>\n

i’m standing in
\nfor the cosmic actor
\nand playing my part
\nwith imperfect clarity
\nas down and dirty magic
\nwrites another realistic ending<\/p>\n
