part 1: names of chance<\/p>\n

run around the sunrise
\nthe slaves continue to sing
\nas scattered atoms of inaction
\ncurse a thousand obsolete laws
\nas ancient owls,
\nperched in tattered trees,
\nwait like pastime gods
\nfor the chance to kill
\nor to impart
\nan impartial wisdom
\nupon distant viewers
\nof ruptured memory
\npolluted factory ghosts
\nremember railroad ghosts
\ngreeted halfway in-between
\nby a mad golfer
\nwaving war-like warnings
\nat foolish children
\nlost in the distance
\nand the names of chance
\nare scrawled in shady temples
\nobscured by half-hearted vendors
\nof stolen promises
\nand quick fixes<\/p>\n

part:2 and when they’re gone<\/p>\n

souls wired to a restless receiver
\nall of our houses, now
\nare closed off from the world
\nand almost empty
\nso, we write
\ncryptic nonsense
\nin the hopes of
\nsponsoring love
\nsomething soft
\nsomething final
\nwave form
\nfree form
\nsimply silent
\nat the height
\nof sanity’s sight
\nwhat if the future was safe?
\nwhat if it wasn’t spent
\non wasted trinkets
\nlike so much discarded change?
\nperhaps these restful visions,
\nstronger the the seven bells of hell
\nwill dance across paper eyes
\nrevealing a phoenix
\nof morning killing poems
\nand lead us to something
\na bit more obscene
\nbecause all our epics are gone<\/p>\n

part 3: fantastically fucked<\/p>\n

we gotta push these crazy numbers
\nall the way
\nbecause
\nthe mail is dead
\nand winter is coming
\nsometimes when the chemicals take hold
\nthe mind becomes free and clear
\ni like living on the fringes
\nof acceptable society
\ni watch and walk among them
\nthese plastic people
\nbleeding from wounds
\ntoo small to see
\nit feels good to be a freak
\nand sometimes suffering is necessary
\neven if it’s misspelled
\nsometimes you can learn
\nto balance yourself on the knife’s edge
\nflipping coins in traffic fire
\ndo you want to be free?
\nit doesn’t take much
\nan open mind
\na dirty heart
\nand a blazing soul
\nhunted we
\nrefuse
\nresist
\nand readjust
\nto their dead ideologies
\nbecause on this
\ntemporary training ground
\nour cold hands are meant
\nto create something new<\/p>\n
