sometimes..
\nsometimes the flame
\npardons the soul
\nas soft minds reach for
\nsomething bigger
\nsomething real
\nin an unreal world
\nsitting at this desk
\non my third glass of wine
\nand my black and white
\neternal kitten
\ni feel that i’m almost ready
\nto become human again<\/p>\n

looking out my window
\ni see that’s it’s rained
\ni love the rain
\nand the way
\nit washes away
\nthe ordinary madness
\nof everyday living
\nhave you ever danced
\nunder the rain
\nin nothing but your underwear?
\nif not you should
\nit’s very cleansing, liberating<\/p>\n

it’s funny how we (writers, that infernal lot)
\nreach for it
\nthat one
\nperfect moment
\nof honest creation
\nonly to be driven
\nin the opposite direction
\nbut every once and awhile
\nthe moment closes in
\nand we are able to
\ncapture it
\nwith stunning
\nand immortal clarity<\/p>\n

ignore
\nthe distractions
\nignore
\nthe admirers and the critics
\nthey will corrupt you<\/p>\n

lines no longer sunny
\nomit foreplay on safe playgrounds
\nin favor of
\ndangerous conversations
\nwith pirate apparitions
\npush it hard
\nand shatter these flooded egos
\nas truth memes
\ncopulate in complicated patterns
\nthat fuck the gods sideways<\/p>\n

i love music
\nbut the written word
\nis still more powerful to me
\nthan the greatest symphony
\nthere is power
\nin this abstract interpretation
\nit dispels a lazy life
\nand arouses the spirit
\ntowards new and separated levels
\nof common megalomania<\/p>\n

drunk fires fog this
\ncrystal monopoly
\nas backdoor bums seek petite kisses
\nand tales from a thousand strangers
\ngreet you with polite destruction<\/p>\n

pick the locks
\nof your economic shackles
\nand never leave the prospect
\nof beautiful death
\nincomplete
\nand lying on a couch
\nof faded animation<\/p>\n
