\nstripping a virtual mind as we
\nfearlessly feed forgotten friars
\nhungry and holographic jokes
\nas medicated blades
\nguide communist clowns
\ntoward a shallow technocracy
\nbeamed out from one of the seven points of heaven
\ni was gonna write this midnight mystery
\nbut then the laws of life interfered
\ndangerous, i was dreaming of
\nrevolution and lsd
\nof youth and untapped anxiety
\nof sexy shaman dances
\nand psychic daggers
\npiercing the heart of truth
\nbut then i got
\ncaught up in a blue song
\nyou know the kind
\nreality laced with
\nstrychnine metaphors
\nand vague memories
\nof what could have been<\/p>\n
it’s always unfinished, this
\nluscious mortality
\nunfolding and waiting for
\nsleep or another drink
\nlying dead against summer
\ni want to carve out
\nan obscure and unholy future
\none more trip
\nto argue with the gods of chaos
\nand set this ship of fools right
\ncan you see the dying bird of prey
\ni can only hope that someday
\na dubious woman
\nwill anoint my accidental flesh
\nand magnetize
\nthis wandering soul<\/p>\n
