\nas the poor are paraded
\ndown distant television avenues
\nof unsettling compromise<\/p>\n

gripped and conditioned
\nto be broken by informants
\nof false tribal wars
\nwe sing of loneliness
\nand righteousness
\nas hard hands
\nwith gold rings
\nslide across soft broken letters
\nand the gods laugh
\nwhile playing their tired games<\/p>\n

communication passed us by
\nall this anticipation
\nand
\nnowhere to go
\nno time left
\nno time
\nto reinvent
\nour past glories
\nwhat will become of this dying dream?<\/p>\n
