monday rain
\na spot on the glass
\na man dying on a hill
\nand a two year old poem
\nincomplete and
\nready to be burned
\nor re-written in
\nwasted soil<\/p>\n

waiting with
\na still chill
\nand dangerous whispers
\nas time folds towards
\na grand complex of hurt<\/p>\n

nights of nothing
\nabandoned and boiling over
\nas the hand reaches for
\nempty tools of solace
\nand the brain continues to decay<\/p>\n

the internet asks me if i’m a robot
\ni click to indicate i’m not
\nbut what if i really am?<\/p>\n

constantly consuming empty media
\nin the shadow of
\nshallow love machinery
\nshould we try to incinerate
\nthese dusty leftovers?<\/p>\n

compositions are
\ndistilled from soul
\nand sold
\nto the lowest bidder
\nas seven simple words
\nwreak havoc
\non imprecise palindromes
\nshaped and directed
\nto consume tv dreams<\/p>\n

we watch revolutions and
\ncounter-revolutions
\nunder a black clouded
\ndevil moon
\nand think about the time
\nwhen sidewalk strangers
\ntraded us
\nexcess dreams
\nfor half empty bottles
\nof desperate wine<\/p>\n

should i
\npencil the secret song
\nacross my mind
\nas the ropes of domination
\nsharpen round necks
\nof grateful desire<\/p>\n

average and on the path
\ni negotiate the fire
\nand join with calculated cat eyes
\nto destroy
\nthe almanac of midnight depression<\/p>\n

we make noise
\nand seek to escape
\nfamiliar distractions
\nof a beautiful floating cadence<\/p>\n

forget the death hour
\nand embrace
\nthe bones of insanity
\nwritten upon
\nthese strange mornings<\/p>\n

tired
\nwe strangle
\nheaven
\nand drive forever
\ntowards an uncertain end<\/p>\n
