\ninfected word messages
\ncut up,
\nreanimated
\nand cast towards the next agenda
\nchewing through this raw illusion
\nwith virtual teeth
\ncan you remember the real world?<\/p>\n

i remember
\nmachine-gun towers of madness
\nwith jackals
\nin a rubber market
\ndemanding souls
\nor cheap conversations<\/p>\n

cussing or cursing
\nwe sit on foreign park benches
\nbuilt from the flowers
\nof slightly dead artists
\nand try not to confront
\nthe failed ecstasies of tomorrow<\/p>\n

with pointless temptation
\nwrinkles wrestle with
\nburning immortality
\nas fat butterflies kiss
\ngreen tombstones
\nunder unemployed moonlight<\/p>\n

impossible deities
\nroam nylon shores
\nwith the insurance of
\nresting spiders
\nas i
\nwalk with a devil of
\nlifeless lifestyles
\nand watch dreaming hearts
\nbecome constrained,
\nthen consumed
\nby anchored devotion<\/p>\n

cobra kiss
\ndime store bliss
\nhungover and
\nlying naked
\non the authority
\nof a dying oasis<\/p>\n

playing random games of nervous humanity,
\ndrinking lizard cocktails,
\nand scattering grass ashes
\ni’m tired of waiting for lazy culture
\nto correct this sanctuary of fear<\/p>\n

when the old ways return
\nsterile shadows will be distilled
\nand form sweepstake poems
\neconomically placed
\nto bend our fragile realities<\/p>\n
