\nwith majesty no greater than
\ndrowsy convenience stores in heat
\nthe sand swallows the worm
\nand backyard birds remember the sun<\/p>\n

distance equals deception
\nand with detached actions
\nwe whisper stuttering secrets
\nas we question
\nthis dusty security<\/p>\n

following a fertile
\npagan machine
\nwe\u2019re dreaming and
\nhallucinating
\nin fields of passive delight
\nand
\nthe scenery of insanity
\nis scrawled upon
\nthe rhythm of authority<\/p>\n

matched mouths,
\nmating with climax and realism
\nchaos is wound,
\nround lips
\nof skinny infinity
\nas silent souls
\nseeking sanctuary,
\nhide in frequencies
\nof fabled flesh
\nforgotten, and complex<\/p>\n

chance vs change,
\nbullet shells
\nand black feathers,
\ncould we abandon
\nthese obsolete rules
\nin favor of
\na spiritual transition?<\/p>\n

playing the long game
\nwe sit in seasonal symmetry
\nas medicine men
\nin lazy attire
\ncoalesce and
\nquietly conspire
\nto privately inspire
\nrandom energies<\/p>\n

drifting dreams
\nmap human extremes
\nand moving characters
\ninterpret keepsakes
\nof adventures past
\nas we embrace
\nformal informality,
\nchallenge the ocean
\nand write epic poems
\non the back of cocktail napkins<\/p>\n

grasping wooden bones
\nand copper cubes
\nshadows are my friend
\nas i, summon the dead
\non shores of foggy art<\/p>\n

and just below the horizon
\npious pirates
\nclaim
\npornographic poets
\nin flames
\nof hungry expectation
\nwaiting for
\nstolen melodies to arise<\/p>\n
