lazy eyes
\nquarantined under a grey sun
\nwill this crisis ever end?
\ni wonder if this is the big one?
\nthe one, that many of us
\nhave been ranting about
\nfor so many years
\nfear, poverty, and disease
\nthe system can’t hold
\nand so many people are divided
\nthe narrative is controlled
\nproblem, reaction, solution
\ni know that this is what THEY
\nwanted all along
\nthe great sacrifice
\nthe great culling
\ncrisis, social control
\nthe final steps towards
\nthat familiar dystopia
\norwell and huxley are
\nrolling over in their graves<\/p>\n

empty nation
\npeace promised by predators
\nrebellion
\nand the ghettos are in flux
\nwith the insane glue
\nof lingering dead states
\nit’s unfair to say
\nthe path echoes the revolution
\nfighting to contain
\nimminent fear
\nfreedom of thought is just
\na box-office extradition<\/p>\n

the system fears losing control
\nso it uses fear to control(you)
\nsocial shaming, the herd is conditioned
\nto be the perfect weapon
\nbrother turned against brother
\nthe poor enslave themselves<\/p>\n

market shares falling
\nTV death sprawling
\nsold out for $1200
\nwill you choose to break
\nthe spell that THEY
\nhave cast upon you
\ni pray, that THEY
\nwill not slay
\nthe beast of truth<\/p>\n

i grip this dusty crystal ball
\nin favor of a
\nbroken surveillance camera
\nwatch out for
\nguns on fences
\nand fences on hills
\nparaded needlessly
\nby an orange clown<\/p>\n

central sleep
\nand across the sea there are
\npainters in prison
\npreachers in low places
\nand puppets in power<\/p>\n

lingering in highway trees
\na murder of crows congregate
\nwith silent abandon
\nwill someone die today?<\/p>\n

comfort in private circle
\nsurrounded by slanted ceilings
\nwe write hollow letters
\nand exchange
\nindifferent glances from afar
\ndrawing frantic jokes
\nlike dangerous and
\ncareless celebrities
\nin a world ablaze
\nwithin the ravages of an agenda
\nso many refuse to see<\/p>\n

green passports
\nand orange roses
\nstay away
\nthe driver asks
\n“where are we going today?”
\ni’m the driver
\nand
\ni do not know<\/p>\n
