\nmorning sunlight
\nlong green coat,
\ncigarette in hand
\nmischief has drifted
\nfrom his subtle,
\nsated mind<\/p>\n

can you categorize the crazy?
\nsitting here in the slow apocalypse
\nlustful and tired
\nsipping stale wine,
\nsmoking merciful cigarettes,
\nand listening to bukowski
\ni’m reminded of
\nfatal flashes of passion
\njumping like cats
\nin the jupiter night<\/p>\n

some men are hopeless,
\nin love with a single moment
\nwhile others dance
\nwith the condition of compromise<\/p>\n

forgive and forget these carnival sorrors
\nnow is a time for
\nprivate decadence
\nbalancing two anxious stars
\nand caught in a beautiful rendition
\nof delicate disaster
\nthe fingers are cold
\nreaching for tattooed skin
\nlike thirteen thieves
\nseeking some measure of
\ntactile mastery
\nanxiously embracing
\nthis blue midnight
\nas fate deals
\nanother ironic hand<\/p>\n

cold and
\nsold out
\ninto an urban wilderness
\nalone we scream with the spider
\nremembering how jesus died
\nfor such petty sins
\nas the secret whore
\nengages in a backyard war
\nand yellow frogs leap
\nfrom domesticated toad stools
\nin search of black enchantments<\/p>\n

do you remember how
\nfire frequently freed
\nfestive moods
\nof antiquated anarchy
\nas obscure instruction
\nlead to obsolete insurrection<\/p>\n

the guns are forever loaded
\nbut unfortunately,
\nsanitation has killed
\nthe eminent orgasm of dawn<\/p>\n

waiting for
\nechoes of regeneration
\ninherited from hearts
\nof the living dead
\nwe consume
\nand consider
\ndusty foreplay
\nand the exhaustion of tomorrow<\/p>\n

the music is
\nslow and heavy
\ndelayed
\nand tempered by rain
\nunderneath a green guillotine
\nconnections fade
\nwithin passions delayed<\/p>\n

what leafy beast
\nwaits to rise
\nfrom these intricate,
\narchaic ashes
\nand
\nwhat do we do
\nwhen rusty words
\nare all we have left?<\/p>\n
