\ncan we evade love
\nand match broken promises

paragons and strange phases
\nsurprised and conquered
\nin a public spectale
\nwith moments
\nof malicious memory
\nwe surrender to
\ninfernal chaos
\nand shoddy scripture
\nthe sickness is in this sanity<\/p>\n

broken and sold to suffer
\nas a summer slave
\nfools dive deep
\nrunning from unstable shores
\nas exhausted chimes
\nevoke eccentric echoes<\/p>\n

home movies played in reverse
\ndisplaced by fast circumstance
\nforget these crazy
\nstuttering secrets
\ngimme broken poetry
\nover dual souls
\ninspired and reaching for
\nburnt and quiet offerings<\/p>\n

broken like yesterday
\ndressed and ready for
\nshotgun shadows
\nwe’re laughing
\nin the face of uncertainty
\nand the terror of ugly flesh<\/p>\n

forget the realities that sleep
\nwithin eyes cocked in naked nines
\nlie like the sun,
\ndraw your sword
\nand stab at muted monsters
\nas we bottle the moon
\nand sell decadent dreams
\nto the children of disorder<\/p>\n

broken at just the right moment
\nperhaps the eyes of tomorrow
\nwill discover
\nthe dreamy rhythm
\nof cigarette lyrics
\nhanging lazy
\nlike revolutionary cats
\nresting on the pillow of dusk<\/p>\n
