\nas romance fuels
\na mysterious euphoria
\nworking within forms of
\ndomesticated torture
\nwe are trapped by the odds
\nand trespass
\non confused playgrounds
\ndistant and unnoticed
\nas we pierce stray sanity
\nwith a dissenting pun<\/p>\n

mapped with
\nmasks of the sun
\ndone
\nnot in two
\nbut spun
\nwith rusty
\nword guns
\nwe are
\nremembering glass moments
\nas we abandon wicked pride
\nand purge substance
\nlike an elderly clock<\/p>\n

white bits of fear
\nquietly stir
\na bright meal of
\nuncertain foreplay<\/p>\n

familiar teacher,
\nrepulsive is the shade
\nof sideshow passion
\nleaking on the floor of
\nsmooth energy
\nas we
\ndance with flower souls
\ndeaf and limitless
\nsitting on consequence
\ndrunk and across from love
\nonly to surprise
\nelusive bastards
\nreflecting terror in the eyes
\nas we wait
\nfor the payment of sunrise<\/p>\n

moonlit misfit education
\ntv reason
\nreignited in a recliner of solitude
\ni’m burning the imagery of sex
\nas empty bitches and phoenix tomcats
\nbleed carefree mysteries
\nalong pages of misdirection<\/p>\n

treading lightly with solid steps
\nand wading through graveyards
\nof nervous cigarette smoke
\nsimple curiosity
\nsurpasses the glories of night<\/p>\n

silence unfolds
\nwaiting like a full time servant
\nas i pirate books
\nand rip afternoon notes
\nof anarchic ancestor flesh<\/p>\n

exhaustion measures down
\nanother poet’s
\nnarrow memory
\nsitting with
\na living melody
\nas caffeine deliberation
\ncrawls across this paperback screen<\/p>\n

failed but written to remember the middle
\nblack perspective is an endless embrace
\npatterns gone mad, centered and
\nscreaming for a reminder of rage at 7am
\ninward colors shadow impossible secrets
\ndreaming of cosmic passion
\nreborn as foreign orgasms
\nas i tune the morning
\nwith loose notes
\nand controlled habits
\nmeasuring my weakness
\non spreadsheets of catholic guilt<\/p>\n

presenting words before passage
\nclear time
\nsides with a homeless poem
\nsometimes solace is unbalanced
\nand writing is a fragile remedy<\/p>\n
