drugstore diner
\ndeadlocked in bony persistence
\nas glimpses from strangers on standby
\ngrip solid breaths in the salty public air
\nfrantic, we watch
\na thousand mad drunk whispers
\nrip raw the rose of spring<\/p>\n

remember the ashes
\nremember, grey mornings
\nwet with anticipation
\nremember, wine bottles
\ncracked and empty
\nlike a blue firefly
\ntrapped in perpetual consumption<\/p>\n

darkness at 5pm
\nsettled in sin
\nwe use death to live
\nand the rain
\nthe rain remembers
\nadventures caught in the throats
\nof flammable visionaries
\nyoung, but still ready to die<\/p>\n

remember car rides
\nthat could last forever
\nwith whispers of
\nsacred symphonies
\nthat linger in the background
\none long drive is all it takes
\nto settle outstanding debts
\nwith the rulers of mystic memes<\/p>\n

fly like an old cat
\nriding the rhythm
\nof porcelain words
\nremember the shadow symphony of language
\nand worship a delirious tongue
\nbitter beneath a goddess mist<\/p>\n

subtle damnation
\nas daylight misinformation
\nslides into
\nentertainment death
\nawaiting the call
\nof fiat rules
\nand the opinion of fascist fools<\/p>\n

this notebook has stalled on the last few pages
\nand too much time is spent
\non uneven harmonies
\nsleep, and watch over forest feet
\nwhat are we waiting for?<\/p>\n

long live the naked green god
\nferocious and haunting
\na picture of poetic decay
\nas eternity wakes a fish eyed fever<\/p>\n

remember metal landscapes
\nand festivals frozen in time
\nremember that we are dying
\nand run from salted ghosts<\/p>\n

reckless and pretending to be young
\ni drink purple potions
\nin padded prisons
\nfixing broken instruments
\nand writing backwards poetry
\nas the dog barks
\nher morning defeat<\/p>\n

fizzle and falsify
\ntempt fate and contemplate
\na composition of cut ups
\narranged like perfect pictures
\nof deranged pageantry
\nas the forecaster dreams of
\nthe herald of evening love<\/p>\n

remember how blue angles bled
\non a brilliant velvet ocean
\ndazzle, dance, desire
\nexplore these poison poems
\nunder a scarecrow twilight<\/p>\n

one more drink
\nembrace and devour
\nthis delicious flower
\nno time to think
\nas i hallucinate and infiltrate
\nround faces and empty vessels
\nthat calculate and domesticate
\nwild spirits of creativity<\/p>\n

hunched and waiting for wisdom
\ni feel that something’s coming
\nturbulence is hiding behind
\ntired and\u00a0tilted trees<\/p>\n

walk west from eden
\nand remember how an afternoon rain
\nmakes time’s possession lift
\nlike late model lilies
\nlazy and laughing on LSD
