attention one and all
\nare there any takers
\nfor the downtown celestial train?
\nthe street lights are dim, and
\nthere are too many gamblers out tonight
\nteased on an open end
\nthe midnight ravers arrived early
\nand the stray cats
\nhowl a festive storm<\/p>\n

nights with wine
\nare always better
\nthan nights with
\nfull bellies
\nand hollow teeth<\/p>\n

and it seems
\na mix of bukowski and rabid sci-fi
\nbreeds creation of competent strangers
\nin the hourglass of dominant simplicity<\/p>\n

some may read this and think
\n“what a hack
\nhe’s quite mad”
\nwell good,
\ni’d rather be a mad hack
\nthat a tired whore<\/p>\n

and did you know
\nthat wage slaves dance best
\nto the songs of
\nsexual chocolate<\/p>\n

myself, i dig the coffee house blues
\ncavorting with a naked muse
\nwho writes obscene clues
\non worn shoes
\nplaced strategically to amuse<\/p>\n

society soil
\nnow, please welcome
\nbare feet on cold floors<\/p>\n

distracted by cats
\nunder cold weather blankets
\ni felt the need to write something tonight
\nas a result, this poem is being
\nwhipped together and run through
\nbefore the party commences<\/p>\n

poetry conjured in an abandoned zoo
\nriding with the beer, the wine
\nwriting for women on the vine
\nthat linger like
\nunending tales
\nof mental masturbation
\nlost in translation
\nof inert spirit
\nejaculation<\/p>\n

poetry shouldn’t always be
\nserious and introspective
\nif we can’t have a little fun
\nwith language and loose words
\nwhat’s the point?
\nas a great rocker once said
\n“let the madness begin!”<\/p>\n

i know
\nsecrets
\nthat the
\n“normies”
\nin all their
\nsecure and
\ncomfortable
\nfinery
\ncould never
\ncomprehend<\/p>\n

so, let us laugh at the gods
\nas they grant us one more night of
\nrepatriation
\nand precipitous creation<\/p>\n
