the songs of amanita<\/p>\n

sitting here with green eyes
\nrolling under blue hills
\nsplit hairs spill
\nmad skills
\ncherry vibrations
\nalmost still<\/p>\n

the beer and mushrooms revealed
\ncaustic calligraphy
\nbehind waterfalls
\nwritten on broken walls
\nand
\nthere’s a woman that says
\n“learn to live”
\nand a man that says
\n“learn to die”
\nfuck em both
\ni’ll ride the sky
\nhalf a mile high
\nas
\nbone eyes gaze
\nand graze
\nupon empty wine bottles
\nlined up on a rural fence
\nlike confused soldiers
\nwaiting to serve or die<\/p>\n

no two smiles are the same
\nand after a flat november rain
\nsilence feeds the flame
\nof summer’s dying love<\/p>\n

i write these dull evenings
\nwith brass knuckles
\nand elderly dictionaries
\nas compressed air fills my lungs
\nand nine inch demos
\nfuel my fury<\/p>\n

caught in a cartoon commune
\nwe sweep these animal runes
\nwith lustful hands
\ncradling a monsoon moon
\nas
\nthe persistence of resistance
\ndraws a quiet stare
\nfrom mechanical animals
\ntrapped in unkempt rooms
\nfilled with
\nlonely mercenaries
\nwaiting for
\nmachine gun marionettes
\nthat hang in distant corners
\nlike undeciphered cobwebs<\/p>\n

live love
\nlate, and long
\nin the ladybug night<\/p>\n

break the spell
\nand storm the citadel
\nremodel the hotel of hell
\nand kiss the silent infidel<\/p>\n

no immortal thoughts today
\noctober’s energies are
\ncrying and dying
\nfor something new
\nas the clouds seek to hide the sun
\nand sing songs
\nof a forgotten apocalypse<\/p>\n

the gods demand a sacrifice
\nbut my lonely hands
\nrefuse to respond<\/p>\n

too many quiet days
\nbreed contempt
\nand
\nthe death of
\noriginality<\/p>\n
