slow mornings, riding in the jazz man
\nas the piano sings discord within a familiar key
\nthere’s no place left to forget
\nand the sun hits hot
\non black concert tees<\/p>\n

quiet fear and pleasures cruel
\nfeeding us hypothetical fuel
\nwe carve broken hearts on broken fences
\nunintended consequences
\nas heightened senses are spent
\nlike so many frivolous expenses<\/p>\n

trespassing through the valley of lost melodies
\nwith a lyrical savant
\nwe inspire spirit avenues
\nsplit and drowning in droning music
\nand i can almost feel
\nthe great vibration of melancholy
\nas collapsed feet tease a new beginning<\/p>\n

confused
\nhalf-tone housewives haggle
\nover pawn store haikus
\ntrading tattoos and unwritten clues
\nand all day i’ve gazed upon cactus bodies
\nthat hallucinate obedient souls
\nroused from a saintly saga
\ni meditate with absent desire
\nand mediate a meager embrace
\nof subhuman riffs<\/p>\n

garden gangsters
\ngalvanize the ghettos
\nwith silent shades of grey
\nscamper away and pray
\ncuz the lords and ladies
\nof lion festivals
\nare ready to play<\/p>\n

remanent readings
\nrecalling a time
\nwhen old was new
\nquick, turn the page
\nand stage
\na contemporary coup<\/p>\n

abstract introduction,
\nchaos symphony destruction
\ni am laid naked before your eyes
\ndistant prize,
\nremembering blissful highs,
\nand evading shrouded spies<\/p>\n

amber pages are stained with a silver pen
\nfollow the silhouette of a manic maiden
\nmimicking a calculation
\nof the mind\u2019s eye
\ncould you manifest this mechanical masquerade?<\/p>\n

nonsense imagery is key
\nas we seek to dispel
\nthis torturous normalcy<\/p>\n

hidden expressions,
\nand ashtray confessions
\nbreed passive possessions,
\nand lingering obsessions
\nsubtle concessions
\nas drug store dream girls
\nspin targeted tails
\non sideways sidewalks
\nsliding with slow magnificence
\ntowards the hungry dreams
\nof lost and forgotten men<\/p>\n

undead domestication
\ndislocation, deification
\nall the players are dead
\nor on a permanent vacation
\nso , with euphoric dedication
\nlet us celebrate celibate temples
\nshowered with six pointed sexual stars
\nas the back-handed banjo player
\nthumps another bourbon beat<\/p>\n
