stranded at the wrong hour of morning
\ni\u2019m granted an audience
\nwith a solitary crow
\nperched proudly in the great dead tree
\nacross the street
\ni watch him, and he watches me
\nhe knows, that i know
\nthere are just too many secrets between us
\nyet still he speaks
\nmeasured, like penetration
\nin the final moment of release
\ncrows communicate
\nin a sequence of two beats
\nsuch a clean and binary language<\/p>\n

stoned meditations
\nsipping a sonic soup
\nsadness stems from the loss of art<\/p>\n

tripping over lazy feet
\nas legends call with laughter
\nwhat will you say,
\nat that final moment of death?
\nrebuilt or reborn
\nas mysteries speak
\nin moments barley conscious
\nmy god is in the trees
\nyour god is in the sea
\nand our god is in the sky
\nmystic firefly
\nwe are all connected
\nso never avoid the eyes
\nfor their truth is rarely concealed<\/p>\n

logic held hostage by love
\ni’m inching around the edges
\ncommemorating the wind
\nwith the birth of dreams
\nand a setting of sunshine
\nin the universal punchline
\nof subtle poetry<\/p>\n

delirious prophet
\nperched on the promise of dawn
\ni\u2019m singing to a world gone deaf
\nfrom a billion background voices
\nno more human than the last
\nand now suddenly cast
\nas an odd machine
\nthe devil is just disconnection
\nand the universe smiles
\nwith a million burning teeth<\/p>\n

drawing symbols and signs
\nwith women and wine
\nthe gypsies are dancing
\nin circles divine
\nand
\ni\u2019m just a cosmic cadaver
\ncoded in the cadence
\nof a cartoon kabala
\nwaiting for something to happen
\nwaiting
\nfor what’s new
\nto be made old
\nand what was then
\ncan be now
\nand what is now
\ncan’t wait for tomorrow<\/p>\n

most days we’re just
\nbreaking butterflies
\nalong a paper horizon<\/p>\n

they say only fools
\nreach for the sun
\nbut remember
\nthe world is too amazing
\nto be weighted and ruled
\nby ordinary madness<\/p>\n
