another day,
\nanother trip
\nthrough this vast expanse of
\ndays colliding with hours,
\nbrushing against minutes,
\ndevolving into seconds,
\nand spiraling down
\ninto a finite universe<\/p>\n

fleeting, something faded
\nshaded, on white lines
\nof a blue horizon, downgraded<\/p>\n

what are these green knives
\nthat keep peering at me
\nfrom behind communist bushes<\/p>\n

cicada hum, sagacious bum
\nnature is so
\nnoisy
\nand never
\nstill<\/p>\n

break, we sit
\nsomewhere between
\neverything
\nand nothing at all
\nsleep, as the sun dances with the moon
\nand these paper hearts
\nno longer beat in unison
\nredeem, with scarlet motion
\nand infinite devotion<\/p>\n

forget mocked time
\nit’s a trick of the mind
\ndesigned
\nto redefine
\noceans and angels
\nunconfined<\/p>\n

“lower your gaze gently
\nand shape memories
\nlike luminescent photographs”<\/p>\n

neptune, magic moon
\nimpossible summer tune
\nthe crow calls an hour before noon
\nand some days my life is just a cartoon
\nwith pictures from a darkroom
\nheirloom, costume, perfume
\nsolid, solo, and sold<\/p>\n

touch me once more
\nwith your heavenly eye
\ndestroy the lie
\nand help me spy
\na perilous midnight sky<\/p>\n

ohh, to die in a repetitive age
\ndisconnect me from bad adventures
\nas we drift within this disturbance
\nand radiate fevered flashbacks
\nlike the berserkers of old<\/p>\n

objective observation,
\nspeculation, mixed with regulation
\nand constant miscalculation
\ncould we sail the tides
\nof malnourished innovation?<\/p>\n

restrain
\nidle thoughts, and
\nrefrain
\nfrom simple disasters
\nas seasons and genders mix
\nputting the fix
\non this impetuous crusade<\/p>\n

long street, dirty feet
\nhurling hexes
\nto a futuristic beat
\nfeathers flow, no defeat
\nwaiting till once again we meet
\ni am the god of dissonance
\ntrapped, incomplete
\nand constantly in heat<\/p>\n

the sun is a harsh father,
\nthe moon, a gentle mother
\nand mischief craves companionship
\nunder the soft kiss of night<\/p>\n
