there is a certain sense of madness
\ntethered to this lucid form of
\ncreation
\nexploration
\nand
\ndisassociation<\/p>\n

it’s this room i think
\nthis room that’s littered with
\na thousand memories
\nun-numbered
\nun-named
\nsome written
\nso many forgotten<\/p>\n

you have to train your mind you see,
\nthere are just too many odds and ends
\nbooks and brass knuckles
\nbullets and baubles
\nflags and souls
\ncaptured within colored photographs
\nweapons and masks
\ncoins and collectables
\ncluttered and creative
\nthis space is elusive
\njust like the episodes
\nof my many distant lives
\npause
\na lonely microphone
\nreminds me of
\nglories and failures<\/p>\n

distractions
\nhanging like thorns
\non a diminished summer rose
\nwhere are all these dream sequences
\nleading me<\/p>\n

many of you have visited this space
\ndrawn in you have become part of it
\nthough you don’t even know it<\/p>\n

it’s a crypt
\na resting place
\nfor cats and dogs
\nand a place for me to
\nplan my escape<\/p>\n

eternal grey blue
\nmetaphoric breakthrough
\nthis room is a place to contemplate
\nscars, and map recovery<\/p>\n

seeking that holy composition
\navoiding a prejudiced disposition
\nthis room holds
\nthe machine
\nthat started it all
\nbut
\nthere is no safety here
\nonly
\ndry burnt mornings
\nand disorientated evenings
\nwaiting perilously
\nfor something abnormal to arise<\/p>\n
