\nhere’s to another endless evening
\nas mother moon
\nmirrors and illuminates
\nour wayward souls<\/p>\n

without warning
\nfunction is sobered with
\nan atomic and economic
\nconclusion
\nbreathless we rest,
\nclutching a gothic cleric
\nto revitalize
\nthe somber commerce of autumn<\/p>\n

unseen predator and prey
\noutstretched to infinity
\naged and weathered
\nare they spying on me?
\ni hope so because
\nall is quiet here
\nand healers only attract
\nbroken souls<\/p>\n

two lines
\nchoices
\nand lessons learned
\nexchanging binary bookmarks
\nwere we just sedated
\non that smooth summer eve?
\ni don’t think so
\neven though
\ni’ve spent my hopes and fears
\nand settled on a sacrificial sensibility<\/p>\n

nonexistent
\nnonexclusive
\npoised and placed together
\nlike synonyms and antonyms
\nattracting cosmic reason<\/p>\n

what is this dream i keep remembering?<\/p>\n

caught in a carnival of sensations
\ndistance means nothing
\nas we stand in
\ncautious and curios triumph
\nlike familiar peasants
\nwaiting to embrace
\nthis symbiotic sacrament<\/p>\n

dark and light
\nencircled and entwined
\nit’s a union of everything
\nseeking to unplug
\nand compose
\ntiny universal tales<\/p>\n

observing the interplay
\nof shaded transmissions
\nas transient strangers
\nweave factional fables
\nand manipulate reversed turntables<\/p>\n

i watch a lonely radio
\nkill
\nan obtrusive television<\/p>\n

and i ponder
\ncomposition
\nfor the keys are
\ngypsy chaos
\nevoked in the shadow
\nof native harmony<\/p>\n

recycle<\/p>\n

i am
\neternal
\nonly through
\nthis infernal
\nmachine<\/p>\n
