repetitious alley
\none way conversations
\nno logic, just convenient reception
\nwalking with an unattended mind
\nwhat is this competition of guilt
\nin the shadow of lost life
\nride that one long thought
\nthrough mysteries of the night
\nstraight into the arms
\nof a dark and forgiving goddess<\/p>\n

rage redistributed
\nin radiant remembrance of revelries
\nlong since past
\nlet us gaze upon this cloud brushed sky
\nas we ride a random red bus
\nconversing with insane strangers
\nand waiting persistently
\nfor the songs of this sleepy city
\nto sing new adventures<\/p>\n

reaching for a hollywood home-brew
\nwe follow the candle’s flame
\nsoft, dangerous,\u00a0 hypnotic
\nwe navigate curves in the rhythm
\nwith eyes like anthills
\nfocused on the serpent’s trance
\nentertained and chained
\nto the devil in a reluctant dance
\nincandescent beast, tell me
\nare you trying to represent
\na corrupted visage of god?<\/p>\n

holy hostess, sister of the raven moon
\nseat me at an infinite table
\nlittered with ammunition, notebooks
\nand glasses of wine
\nthat never spill
\nthis life is like a mad lib
\nwill you help me fill in the blanks<\/p>\n

and where’s my tribe, my kindred queen?
\nseated between
\nlongevity and this blissful quarantine<\/p>\n

the glory of fanaticism came and went
\nin the blink of an eye
\nnow, all i see are
\nfrantically decorated walls
\nempty windows
\nand curious cats<\/p>\n

feeling worthless in a priceless age
\nso many complications
\nboiled down
\ninto a simplistic fantasy
\nspeaking in a secular tongue
\nhe reminded me
\n“never fall in love at night”
\nthe wards and symbols
\nthat once served me so well
\nnow fail
\nand i just can’t seem to escape this moment<\/p>\n

a blue star hovers behind me
\nreminding me of ghosts
\ni’ve yet to meet
\nwere you born
\nto stutter against streaks
\nof melodic light?
\nglitter and hypnotic pulses
\nalways four cats, two candles,
\none glass, and no soul
\nself destruction or self awareness
\ntell me what’s the difference?<\/p>\n

solo charity
\nbreaking the box
\nline by line
\nas layer upon layer of words
\nare painted in red shift and spectral form
\nmy luxury is labored in a labyrinth of liability
\nas little lambs lead me to the slaughter<\/p>\n

i miss the ignorance of simpler times
\nas a cursed and hazy night,
\nsheathed in warped clarity
\ncalls toward another uniform day
\nsomehow i continue
\ni want everything
\nand nothing at all<\/p>\n

redemption, or perhaps just
\ntempered recollection
\ncleaning and dreaming of
\nrusted and discarded revelations
\nwhat choice have we
\nbut to commit to this sympathetic insanity<\/p>\n
