presently, the narrative is
\nposted
\nin fertile fields
\nunhosted
\nand these words are
\nghosted
\nalmost like a noon moon
\nout of place
\nand barley visible<\/p>\n

left for dead among the living
\ni\u2019m up early and it\u2019s cold
\nthe coffee is unprepared
\nand the day is spelled long<\/p>\n

bed sheets torn and exposed
\nread like rivers
\nred with blood
\nand theres oil in my curly hair<\/p>\n

thought processes
\nare warped at this hour
\nnone of this makes sense
\nyet, everything\u2019s alright<\/p>\n

bad heroes
\nof subtle teeth and bone
\nseek smoke and the raven
\nas they wake
\nwith naked emotions craven<\/p>\n

armored doctors
\ntreat feral women
\ncaught in the glow of
\na yellow-white night
\nand
\nblack magic packs
\nwritten in dusty tomes
\nare simply
\nhalf truths exposed<\/p>\n

the dreams left me before morning
\nlike a reluctant lover
\nhas it been a year
\nor two
\ni\u2019m trying to get back to
\nan endless summer hue
\nbut
\nsometimes i get confused
\nand the long night
\nholds me tightly<\/p>\n

father of wine and creation
\nseeking a bottomless abomination
\nended in recalculation
\nof a half hearted
\nrevelation<\/p>\n

inevitable intercourse
\nas the pagan goddess
\nhas come to take me away<\/p>\n

wrapped in her secret embrace
\ni\u2019m at home in black eyes
\nthat no longer despise
\ntales of morbid fascination<\/p>\n

mistress blue
\nblessed and dressed
\nfor adulation<\/p>\n

bleed upon this empty alter
\nand falter
\nno more<\/p>\n

it was dark when i started writing this
\nnow, my cat looks up at me
\nwith baiting eyes
\nand the sun, like all beasts
\nhas risen<\/p>\n
