truck stop logistics
\nhalf dead among the stop lights
\nand provisioning mental health
\nwithin customer support hell<\/p>\n

i\u2019m tired of dogs in heat
\nconquests, protein shakes
\nand pointless doctors visits<\/p>\n

the phone just doesn\u2019t work
\nand today is a good day
\nfor a black melody
\nwhitewashed
\ni\u2019ve passed out too early
\nand arrived too late
\nas
\ndrooping eyelids
\nand labored breathing
\nsignal the sign of a new dawn
\nwe\u2019re all just clowns
\nprocrastinating
\ndown this inevitable road<\/p>\n

with songs, sins, and subtlety
\nwe are
\ndepraved or slightly saved
\nas inert fuck masks
\nare made sharp
\nduring the study of dead sexes
\nand
\ncurious forces stir
\namidst incomplete orgasms
\nof a reluctant forecaster
\ntick, tock,
\nboom!<\/p>\n

green creator of the pale moon
\ngrant me one last open window (to crawl through)<\/p>\n

rumbling like a pro
\nand seeking a setting
\nbeyond these city streets
\nsometimes i dream of
\ntrees growing on rooftops
\nand a world at peace
\nof nights spent
\nlaughing at bad jokes
\nwith a good friend
\nas exploration overrides expectation
\na world of ones and zeroes
\nmixed on multifaceted palette
\nand thrown upon a canvas
\nof spectacular intent<\/p>\n

today is no day for yesterday
\nand tomorrow is already sleeping
\ni miss the art
\nand the girl that embodied it
\nbut the morning isn\u2019t so bad
\nthe autumn air is cool,
\nwet with anticipation
\nand it\u2019s color is almost gold
\ni\u2019m up early, well rested,
\nshowered and ready to go<\/p>\n

the trap is sprung
\nas i sit at this solid machine
\ntime has no meaning here
\ncigarette smoke forms
\ncold blue ghosts
\nas the faucet of my mind
\nbegins to turn slowly
\ngently dripping ideas
\nupon a scattered screen
\nit\u2019s an approximation, computation
\nindirect preparation
\nfor madnesses yet to come
