sun<br \/>\nwe remember well<br \/>\nthe smell<br \/>\nof november\u2019s gun<\/p>\n<p>back scatter and illusion<br \/>\neverything has changed<br \/>\nsidestepped and slightly off-center<br \/>\nwe can never return<br \/>\nto the bliss<br \/>\nof that first elaborate kiss<br \/>\nso, run like it\u2019s your last day<br \/>\nor your first<\/p>\n<p>always different<br \/>\nfingers scraping across bone<br \/>\nalways belligerent<br \/>\nsummoning this hobbled clone<\/p>\n<p>i am not the conductor<br \/>\ni am simply<br \/>\nthe song<br \/>\nwritten by someone else<br \/>\nout of time<br \/>\nand sung within the audience\u2019s mind<br \/>\ndriven by whimsical words<br \/>\nsplattering glorious platitudes<br \/>\nof nothing<br \/>\nthere is no right or wrong<br \/>\njust alliteration<br \/>\nand widespread alteration<br \/>\nas we blaze internal trails<br \/>\nand decimate unrepentant jails<\/p>\n<p>with a pinched tongue<br \/>\nand pickled mind<br \/>\nhalos are crossed with horns<br \/>\nmisaligned<br \/>\nmalevolent design<br \/>\nconsigned, declined<br \/>\nentombed and enshrined<\/p>\n<p>stunned and subdivided<br \/>\nby the disobedience<br \/>\nof god\u2019s languishing architecture<br \/>\nwe are filed away<br \/>\nby the touch of some other<br \/>\ncheap and elaborate escapade<\/p>\n<p>thought to form<br \/>\ngroped<br \/>\nwith no hope<br \/>\nbought and sold<br \/>\nlike anxious rabbits<br \/>\ncoming in from the cold<\/p>\n<p>the motor hums<br \/>\nmoving backwards<br \/>\nand this fuel burns hot<br \/>\nwith trepidation<br \/>\nand vapid negotiation<br \/>\nlines and lanes<br \/>\nare confused with steamy intent<br \/>\nas we travel<br \/>\nto another dead location<br \/>\nperhaps it\u2019s just a<br \/>\nreluctant vacation<br \/>\nfrom all this pointless meditation<\/p>\n<p>multiple personalities,<br \/>\npossibilities<br \/>\nfalling from the mouth of\u00a0eternity<br \/>\nas i sip slipping memories<br \/>\nlike a vintage glass of wine<br \/>\nstruggling to pass the time<br \/>\nin hopes of typing an eternal rhyme<\/p>\n<p>we were taught to know better<br \/>\nbut somehow<br \/>\nwe refused<br \/>\nso just gimme two smokes<br \/>\nand a vagrant\u2019s dreams<br \/>\nselling park bench mornings<br \/>\nand freedom\u2019s lonely themes<\/p>\n<p><a
