secular sound waves
\nsealed and sold in
\nsacrificial sagas<\/p>\n

we are
\nhazardous children
\nruled by routine
\nwith god signs that are
\ncareless and ineffectual<\/p>\n

wanted in thirds
\nleft hanging
\nor discarded
\nfor carrion birds<\/p>\n

beasts of prey
\nare strung up
\nor strung out
\nyet, i refuse to obey<\/p>\n

ravaged by uneven space
\nand ragged handwriting
\ni\u2019m wandering walls and yards
\nas one lonely night fades into the next<\/p>\n

the representation of guilt
\nvisited me in a dream last night
\nbut i no longer let those ghosts haunt me<\/p>\n

it\u2019s a living lie
\nas we are sentenced to this
\ndull invention of normal life
\npunished for sins yet to be committed<\/p>\n

revelation, a reflective measure of
\ndaytime television reality
\nthrown into another
\nsober and weightless sunrise
\nwith moments that are half spent
\nand only remembered when drunk<\/p>\n

rue the morning mirror
\nhair cut too short
\ni haven\u2019t shaved for a week
\ni\u2019m half a hobo
\nand dating at 40
\nis an extinction level event<\/p>\n

never sleep
\nas
\ndancing death
\ncreeps and curls
\nacross these
\nblack metal fingers<\/p>\n

so, call upon mystic praise
\nto the notebook and the phone
\nto the wine and the computer
\nfor they are
\nsacramental tools
\nused to help break
\nsubstandard rules<\/p>\n

sitting on the can, chewing a toothpick
\ni feel like i could
\nstart a revolution
\nor just put an end
\nto all of this
\nnoise
\nsounds that are all too familiar
\ntip,tap, scratch
\nit\u2019s enough to drive a man mad
\nand
\nthere\u2019s always a cat
\nready to disturb my writing<\/p>\n

regeneration
\nof radioactive creation
\nunoriginal, unread, and unaccountable
\nan artist\u2019s work is never done
\nand we always return
\nto an eden of the mind<\/p>\n

once again
\ni\u2019m visited by
\na blue screen whore<\/p>\n
