\neventually unattended
\nsilence always claws
\nat the corners of
\na sullen mind<\/p>\n

scraping glories
\nfrom the floor of absent memory
\nthe clock ticks
\nlouder and slower
\nin these self imposed moments
\nof secular safety<\/p>\n

with no quarter
\nwe are
\nrobbed of everything
\nwe think we have
\nand there\u2019s always
\na false path to pursue<\/p>\n

baseless and faceless
\nput to bed
\nonce again
\nwhat dreams
\ndraw this devil to the surface?<\/p>\n

three days now
\nno coffee
\nno liquor
\nno poetry
\nand no women
\ntoo tired to sleep
\nand too lonely to dream
\nwhat a load of horse shit!<\/p>\n

i wish people would just
\nsay what they mean
\nand do what they say
\ncuz despite karma\u2019s oppression
\ni ain\u2019t got no time to play
\nor fiddle with this fleeting obsession<\/p>\n

the great game
\nis a big nothing
\nand i am
\nfading fast
\ndepression is real
\nand
\nshe\u2019s a passive aggressive bitch<\/p>\n

i\u2019d like to give up
\nbut that just
\nain\u2019t my style
\nso
\nfuck it!
\ni\u2019ll just sit
\nand stare at this blank screen
\nbut for me
\nnot being able to write
\nis the worse kind of torture<\/p>\n

i don\u2019t know how it ends
\nmaybe it doesn\u2019t
\nend
\nmaybe we just
\nbend
\nto the futility we cultivate<\/p>\n

but hey, at least i still have my kitties<\/p>\n
