point blank insurrection
\nriding words of
\nforest green depression
\nmagicians misaligned
\nexplosion of
\nspirit and mind
\nturbulent tomes
\nenshrined then
\nredesigned<\/p>\n

observation in
\nabstract meditation
\nhurried
\nthen setback
\nwaiting for release<\/p>\n

the living room is littered with
\nempty glasses and old poetry books
\nnothing better to do than write
\nright the wrongs
\nof songs
\nsung out of key
\nin desperate harmony<\/p>\n

my dog has finally submitted
\nto this urban wilderness
\nand my favorite symphony by mahler
\nis setting the trance
\ni want something dark to claim me
\nto enhance
\nthis violet expanse<\/p>\n

red wine
\ndeep
\nlike catholic blood
\neating the bread
\ni remember the dead
\nand, the myths of my childhood
\nare slowing flowing through me<\/p>\n

complicate
\nand then
\nhallucinate<\/p>\n

madness
\nstretched out
\nlike tasteless gum<\/p>\n

in the vision i saw
\nbookstores like ancient temples
\ngoblets and gardens
\nimaginary walls
\nlined with switches
\nand modified witches
\nseven flights of stairs
\nand minuscule tears
\nin folded brain matter<\/p>\n

tables set
\nand then
\ndismissed
\ntrepidation
\npercussive evangelist
\nas blank spaces
\nare suddenly filled with
\neccentric head cases
\nrolling jedi mind tricks
\nunder an inverted
\ntest screen<\/p>\n

relapse into morning
\nthe coffee is heated and beat
\nand under an oppressive morning sun
\nas i forget the face
\nof that midnight pun<\/p>\n

i like a fine point
\nbetter than a round edge
\na page or two a day
\na prayer or two away
\nfrom the inevitable end
\nthat stems from
\ndeath of the male ego<\/p>\n

this poetry is
\na form of mad libs
\nand i\u2019m not quite sure i dig
\nthis new evolution<\/p>\n

i carry notebooks and pens as weapons
\nin hopes of conjuring a rhyme that beckons
\na myriad mistress of the moon
\npagan movements
\nmanipulated till they\u2019re out of tune<\/p>\n

and my tongue still craves the taste of wine and pussy<\/p>\n
