waltzing down a dissident street
\nbanana peels under flat feet
\nsacred movements set to a
\ndistant heartbeat
\nsettled in the mercy seat
\ncountry boys dance and rhyme
\nwith reason
\nbut no sense of time
\nspitting verses
\nto supplement curses
\nof dissociative universes<\/p>\n

so now, this perception
\ni think, is the new reality
\nand black is the omnipotent spectrum
\nof all colors combined
\nwith secrets and symbols revised
\nunder constant struggle
\nfrom hearts and minds devised<\/p>\n

love, worn like new skin
\nis at first
\naccessorized, and customized,
\nthen eventually compromised
\ndesensitized, dehumanized,
\ndespised, and finally excised<\/p>\n

servants and saviors remain hidden
\nunder a touch once thought forbidden
\nbackyard trigger
\nmental wall overridden
\ni remember how she fed the crows
\nhow she talked to them
\nbefriended them
\nthey rarely visit
\nnow that\u2019s she\u2019s gone<\/p>\n

somehow
\nshe still maps the corners of my mind
\nand it seems this play is serious
\nbut most days i\u2019m just delirious
\nwaiting for simple truths
\nthought mysterious<\/p>\n

too many false loves to recount
\ntoo many people too many places
\nfaces, traces of the old life
\nit was a lie destined to die
\nhigh above playgrounds of distaste<\/p>\n

the clouds form mandalas
\ni can\u2019t interpret
\nserpents tossed
\nwith circuits crossed
\nin an information holocaust<\/p>\n

looking up and feeling down
\nthere are
\nchem trails and fox tails
\ndetails of foreign sales
\nchasing dragon scales
\nwhile listening to
\nthe hammering of nine inch nails<\/p>\n

structure is irrelevant
\nto me everything is a song
\nchipmunks, birds, traffic
\nchildren laughing in the distance
\nclocks ticking against a harsh eternity
\ntransform me into a reluctant monk
\ndeputized, a prophet of simpler times
\neyes closed with purple tones
\nexclaiming and defaming
\ndecadent rhymes<\/p>\n

noon day, red wine and bug spray
\nthought to form
\nand set to pray
\nwe watch
\nhandcuffed whores
\non deadlocked tours
\nof catholic guilt
\nfor half a day<\/p>\n

familiar clutter
\ncirculating a chaotic semblance
\nof rustic routines
\nerratically revised
\nlives like bent and rusty knives
\nlocked in overdrive, as they
\ndeprive, archive and survive
\nself imposed villainy<\/p>\n

i want to cultivate
\nthe personality of an artist
\ninspiration, with a daemonic declaration
\ntransformation
\ninternal liberation
\nheld in a habitual hades
\nwith hearts deep like a quarry
\nand minds shallow
\nlike a mud puddle<\/p>\n

art is creation
\nin any form
\nradicalized, sacralized and unborn
\nthrown to the world
\nto subjugate serenity
\nand surrender
\nto this savage garden<\/p>\n
