life like listerine
\ninside a cancerous mouth
\nmoon days
\nruled and revisited by ashtrays
\nsadness and civilized cliches<\/p>\n

i\u2019m wandering in the dark
\nat 3 am
\nlistening to
\na scattering of birds converse
\nand somehow their melody is different
\nfrom the consistent songs of sunrise<\/p>\n

experimentation
\nfree form exploration
\nor was it just
\npointless exploitation<\/p>\n

undone in a moment of
\npremeditated spontaneity
\na moment when your body fails
\nand your mind falls
\ngrasping for lethargic pens
\nthat litter lateral halls<\/p>\n

words, words words,
\npresented with
\nelectable ugliness
\nand stubborn beauty
\ni want them to love me
\nfor my poetry
\nnot for my body
\nand i\u2019m funny only when drunk
\nso it\u2019s back to the drawing board<\/p>\n

river\u2019s end
\ndescend
\ninto angles
\nslightly askew
\nas i harness wind
\nthat ripples over calm waters
\nand time is irrelevant
\nas tattered hands hold cameras
\ncapturing the cadence of objectivity<\/p>\n

narrated, infiltrated,
\nconsecrated, and desecrated
\nthis madness is a source of
\nintoxicated meditation<\/p>\n

dreaming in a backyard prison
\nof overgrown splendor
\nand cutting karmic cords
\ni shouted something about art
\nor was it love
\nnon-entity swirl
\nand where is my
\nbeautiful artist hippy girl<\/p>\n

the devil drives
\na calypso witch bargain
\ndelivered in complicated jumbo jargon
\nand we are
\nclimbing sandy foothills
\nracing with hustlers and shills
\nno romanticism
\nno thrills<\/p>\n

the stupor of adulthood
\nrides a train of misdirection
\nand what are \u201cthe rules\u201d
\nthat we\u2019re supposed to follow
\nno purpose
\nlost along the common path<\/p>\n

noise, and it\u2019s all just
\nabbreviated language within a storm
\nof vague and unintentional meaning
\nslowly intervening
\nas we are overwritten on grey pages
\ncasually passing through
\nabdicating and repetitious stages
\nof spirit and mind<\/p>\n

i\u2019m still seeking divine eyes
\nand the dreams of lsd
\ni miss every moment of we
\ncaught in cosmic alliance
\nfate played out three ways
\ndawning on these strange days<\/p>\n

you are not here
\nnot now
\nso i must
\nbe the word
\ni must be
\nan indignant literary insurgent
\nwandering commas and question marks
\ninspiring the demise of fear
\nand whispering the spirit of rEvolution<\/p>\n
