line<\/p>\n<p>sunrise on concrete steps<br \/>\nin light of morning bird songs<br \/>\nsignal an emanation of dusty dreams<br \/>\nwith concrete sidewalks<br \/>\nsailing into submission<br \/>\nof traffic<br \/>\nthat sounds almost boastful<\/p>\n<p>two paper poems<br \/>\nfallen to the floor<br \/>\npreparation<br \/>\ni\u2019ve strayed into a place<br \/>\nwhere imagery has no meaning<br \/>\nas cat paws click on soiled keys<br \/>\ncomposing nonsense<br \/>\ncoffee stains teeth<br \/>\nand cigarettes stain lungs<br \/>\nbecause<br \/>\nthese morning rituals<br \/>\nare nothing but<br \/>\ntired habits<br \/>\nheld under the gravity of circumstance<\/p>\n<p>i\u2019ve been emptied of all my inspiration<br \/>\nlike a composer left to wander<br \/>\non a childish battlefield<br \/>\nnavigating an internal script<br \/>\nthat is somehow off, as<br \/>\nhypocrisy courses through these veins<br \/>\nlike velvet sexual recession<br \/>\nmoving counter clockwise<br \/>\nin a dominate procession<\/p>\n<p>the great upheaval of middle age is a joke<br \/>\ndormant, no more adulation<br \/>\njust cartoon chemistry<br \/>\nand abstract addiction<br \/>\ngods how i miss that smile<\/p>\n<p>graveyard roots<br \/>\nhardened black boots<br \/>\ndeath cat symbols in secrecy<\/p>\n<p>bird feeders and empty park benches<br \/>\nwatch an island settled with no soul<br \/>\ndown on the shores of the kennebec<br \/>\nthere are different spots<br \/>\nwith different values<br \/>\ni come down here sometimes<br \/>\nto sit, to think<br \/>\nbecause nature is my god<br \/>\nand strange fruits are born of this solitude<br \/>\nit\u2019s a process you see<br \/>\na way to create<br \/>\nwithout creating anything<\/p>\n<p>moments like these are a way<br \/>\nto exorcise realities<br \/>\nwe no longer share<br \/>\nconsequences, and<br \/>\nstuck on one thought<br \/>\nlove<br \/>\ni love the tattooed girls<br \/>\nthe birds and trees<br \/>\ni love the cats<br \/>\nthe music<br \/>\ni love the sunrise and sunset<br \/>\nthe long drives to nowhere<br \/>\ni love the way you made me feel at one<br \/>\ni love a lot of things in this world<br \/>\nbut not myself<\/p>\n<p>fiery nights almost extinct<br \/>\nall i have left is art<br \/>\nand such an elusive mistress she is<br \/>\nart as love<br \/>\nart as sex<br \/>\nart as a definition of self<br \/>\nart as a minute interaction<br \/>\nglances, stances<br \/>\nblue dog meaning<br \/>\nart dresses me in a divine comedy<br \/>\nor was it tragedy<br \/>\nanother day of nothing<br \/>\njust another useless hero<br \/>\nconstipation and sanitation<br \/>\nfree me from pollution<br \/>\nwith this abstract solution<\/p>\n<p><a
