\ndrawing stories
\nthat few want to hear<\/p>\n

life labored in a loop
\nset to repeat at certain speeds
\nand settled in ceded destinations
\na figure eight formed in infinity
\ndiagonally distinguished
\nand fueled with mornings
\nfull of black coffee
\npornography, cigarettes and memories<\/p>\n

riding random texts
\nthe past grips my heart
\nlike cheap plastic wrap
\nso i wait for
\nslick poetry
\nunbidden and hidden
\nmore likely sick poetry
\nwriting in vain and overridden
\nit\u2019s my only weapon
\nto entertain
\nseeking to impress
\nor was it depress
\nhearts and minds constrained<\/p>\n

eyes
\nlike pinpoints of
\nan infinite and
\nindefinite universe
\ncatatonic cells
\nrevealing
\ngrey dog souls<\/p>\n

magnificently fragile
\nand written like a superstar in exile
\nwe are treated
\nas disposable people
\nsuch a simple dismissal
\nand painful description
\nof what might have been
\nhearts and minds
\nmelted and melded
\nby consumption
\nhow many nights must pass
\nremembering a life i should forget
\nwith wine under white candles
\nand the caress of empathetic cats<\/p>\n

hands
\nheld in
\nromantic prayer
\nloved by
\na deceiving player
\nworlds and wounds apart
\nno feeling today
\nbrain dead and empty
\nbut the quiet is good<\/p>\n

oh stranger
\nonce an enigmatic lover
\nnow cast to the role
\nof old mentor
\nconverted from a
\nclassical whore
\nto a calculated hermit<\/p>\n

hump day
\nfeels more like
\ndump day
\nin the bedroom
\nin the bathroom
\nin the office
\nor in the car
\nit makes no difference
\ntoday is no day
\nfor manifestation
\njust dusty spring words
\nthat can\u2019t be
\nstrung together
\nand i\u2019m strung out
\non intellectual boredom<\/p>\n

good advice
\nbadly played
\nhair down long and oily
\nand no response
\nto this elegant crusade<\/p>\n

has it been
\ntwo months already
\nit feels like yesterday
\nit\u2019s hard to forget
\nthe shape of you
\ntimeless and beautiful
\ngone now, helpless and blue
\nsuch a violent rapture
\nthat set me to
\nwandering roads of weakness
\nand half hearted discovery
\nsearching for clues
\nthat would lead to a clean break
\nreaching beyond
\nliving a life
\nthat revolves around
\nvirtual media<\/p>\n

don\u2019t give up, just give in
\nfor a day or a year
\nalmost balanced
\nyet distracted by cats
\nand headlines of impending doom
\nthere\u2019s just no more room
\nfor disinformation
\npassively fighting
\nan internal exclamation
\nto color the soul grey
\nacceptable amalgamation
\nor
\nindefinite approximation<\/p>\n

i\u2019m ready for something more
\nso gather the hermits and whores
\nfor sadistic games
\nplayed like
\nghostly violins in flames
\nweeks of springtime rain
\nunder a noonday moon
\nthere are
\nreticent beasts
\nstirring in my soul
\nmatched perfectly
\nfor the longevity
\nof love
\npassion beyond flesh
\none day you\u2019ll see
\nhow these two souls
\nwere meant to be free<\/p>\n
