it\u2019s all operator hell
\nwaiting on hold
\nwhether on a phone
\nor life<\/p>\n

there seems to be no reprieve
\nfrom this sense of anxiety
\nand dull routine<\/p>\n

i was promised adventure
\ninstead i got an empty house
\nfull of cats and broken toys<\/p>\n

i\u2019m not sure if i have
\nanything left today
\ni was on a roll
\n7 months and 2 days running
\nbut now the soul has subsided<\/p>\n

loss killed what little was left<\/p>\n

i feel like i\u2019m missing something
\nthe ship set sail without me
\ni\u2019m a place holder
\nand i\u2019m wondering
\nhow to do the wrong thing
\nthe right way<\/p>\n

i\u2019m told it will get better
\nbut does it really
\ndoes it ever get better
\nor does it simply roll on
\nthe first noble truth<\/p>\n

i asked her why
\nand she tried
\nto explain how
\nthis light is quick
\nand temporary<\/p>\n

memories as painful reminders<\/p>\n

how can we love one another
\nwhen we can\u2019t even love ourselves
\nwe engage in
\nan expected ritual of
\nspeaking unnecessary gratitude
\nin hopes of some minor redemption<\/p>\n

it seems nobody appreciates
\nkindness
\nor
\nrecognizes greatness<\/p>\n

i no longer care if these poems are good
\nthey have come full circle
\nand returned to their original intent
\nso
\nnever forget
\nthose that came before
\nthere was a reason
\nif only for a season
\nthey brought you
\nvision
\nhappiness
\npain
\nand mystery<\/p>\n

their stories may have been untitled
\nbut they were pages in yours
\nthey remind you
\nwhat was never meant to be
\nand possibilities you couldn\u2019t see<\/p>\n
