get back
\nsnapped
\nboot strap
\npulled up by the very thing
\nthat beat you down<\/p>\n

cars and crazy vibes
\npsychotic love
\nthat tries but hides<\/p>\n

the city streets are
\nwhite with exhaustion
\nblurry and brilliant
\nas pale men
\ntry to fabricate
\na clearer tone<\/p>\n

no dinner
\nand no bars
\nhearts and minds
\nmade of scars<\/p>\n

walking with winter ghosts down main street
\ni want to hear the birds sing once more<\/p>\n

no respone
\nblack noise or
\nno noise
\nsitting by a fire
\none more beer
\nand no more texts
\none last deep swallow
\nto wash all the passion away
\nand in the background
\na solo organ with drums
\nsearching for that final beat<\/p>\n

we all have a familiar theme<\/p>\n

no normal humans are we
\nset to see
\nwalls of
\ninfinity<\/p>\n

and i find writing on
\nthe odd side of the page
\nto be unnerving
\nforget theses small,
\nsmall words
\nwe are none of us great
\njust relevant in our own way<\/p>\n

no words
\njust filler
\nit\u2019s a goddamn killer<\/p>\n

the gods can forgive
\nthe whinos and junkies
\nbut weakness in good men
\nwill not be tolerated<\/p>\n

i\u2019ve switched from
\nliquor to tea
\nin hopes of
\nserenity
\nand escaping karma (it doesn\u2019t work)<\/p>\n

sick and tired
\nof being
\nsick and tired
\nthere’s no toughness left
\nso we let it bleed through
\ninto someone something new<\/p>\n

we erase memories
\nlike wildfires
\nbut the ashes still persist<\/p>\n

sudden addiction
\nis it all just a
\nhollow fiction<\/p>\n

uneasy sedition
\nleads to
\ncorrupted submission<\/p>\n

and i always try to fly on broke wings<\/p>\n
