unsure thoughts
\nwarped in knots
\nsluggish and hot
\na simple plot
\nhowever it’s not
\nwhat was meant to be<\/p>\n

these men sham us
\nand damn us<\/p>\n

and the women drive us crazy
\nwith idle intent<\/p>\n

the word
\nhas given me
\nso little clarity
\nas of late
\nperhaps mild vanity
\nand short bouts of insanity<\/p>\n

i\u2019ve read the line
\nit\u2019s covered with
\nthe glitter of falsehoods
\nnarrow and out of time<\/p>\n

bad habits
\nalways die hard
\nas old sins are
\nwashed away
\non a tide of new melancholy
\nno habits now
\nand i\u2019m left with
\nnothing but a white page
\nstaring back at me
\nsuch hollow rage<\/p>\n

the patterns of old me
\nrub off on the new
\nam i disarmed
\nor just blue<\/p>\n

the defining moment of
\nthis human existence is
\nsinister and simplistic
\ndiscarding a misfit mythos
\nin favor of
\nvideo games and
\nthe junkie’s adventure<\/p>\n

our evolution is my
\nrevolution
\nand i can\u2019t see how
\nthis ends any other way<\/p>\n

some days we
\nchoose to forget
\ncontrol alt delete
\nrebooted and reset
\nyet
\nothers are remembered
\ndreamlike and unstable<\/p>\n

open-ended discretion
\nenumerate
\nevaluate
\nthen evacuate<\/p>\n

this world is a carefully crafted set
\nof not so random circumstances
\ndriven like cattle to an almost
\noblique destination
\nhowever
\nno distraction is great enough
\nanymore<\/p>\n
