it\u2019s distant
\nthat feeling that
\nthere\u2019s something real
\njust over the horizon<\/p>\n

yet it\u2019s
\ntoo much and not enough
\nall at once
\nas we are slumped and murdered by the day
\nstripped of all holiness
\nand force-fed mediocrity
\nby schools unfit to educate
\na whore infested media
\nand jobs that are uninspiring
\nstill, humanity continues to sing it\u2019s rabid song
\nas an invisible clock ticks a violent measure<\/p>\n

breeders
\ncheerleaders
\nand underachievers
\nstanding by in garish vanity
\nas this life teeters
\non unbalanced scales<\/p>\n

and too often i sit, wondering
\nwhen this fictional world
\nwill collide with it’s perceived divinity
\nlost arts
\nand it\u2019s the same old story
\nplanning the next scene
\ndrunk and unfulfilled
\nand waiting
\nfor the next big moment of nothing
\nan after hours revelation
\nwhen forever is envisioned
\nin a momentary escapade
\nof brilliance and lunacy<\/p>\n

seventeen subtle moments
\nwith monsters and misfits lurking
\njust out of sight
\nthey are
\ncaught in a strange spell of agitation
\ninspiration and mastrubation
\nand held in awe of goddesses
\nslick between the sheets of spring
\nthey have secrets and signs
\nthat men can only feign to understand<\/p>\n

chasing dreams
\nshake them
\nwake them
\npause
\nbreak them
\nrelease<\/p>\n

in the cool summer rain
\nall weaknesses are dispelled
\nas we drift with a quiet longevity
\ndown uncertain roads<\/p>\n

the only gods i\u2019ve seen
\nare the ones within each of us
\nwaiting impatiently
\nto be freed<\/p>\n
