scenarios of importance
\nplayed out like a traffic jam
\nwith good intentions
\nwe\u2019ve twisted the world into
\nan impossible beast<\/p>\n

most deeds have little value
\nbut the consequences are scaled
\noften relative and misunderstood<\/p>\n

we\u2019ve become dead ringers
\nheld in a tired and momentary procession
\npursuing invalid equations
\nas we linger and repeat
\nuntil we\u2019ve run out of steam<\/p>\n

forever running
\nas the television sells streams
\nof single-minded distractions
\nads within ads
\nand robotic movements
\nno simple life here
\nwe\u2019ve created the most perfect mutation<\/p>\n

where is the buddah
\nin his enlightened
\nand immortal pose<\/p>\n

caught between the apple and the arrow
\nchange is like a kick in the teeth<\/p>\n

i\u2019ve lived the life of a square
\nand the life of a misfit
\nand i\u2019ve yet to find any universal truth<\/p>\n

posture, preparation, and performance
\ncan only lead us so far
\nbecause
\ninfinity has a way of playing tricks on the mind
\nand
\nwe\u2019re missing that one cliche line<\/p>\n

with graveyard deliberation
\nand virtual communication
\nwe\u2019ve abandoned the spirit of
\ndaimonic illumination<\/p>\n

freedom is an illusion
\nit\u2019s an abstract life
\na symbolic idea
\nand one that turns on itself<\/p>\n
