goddamn this poem
\nsix days and counting
\nand I still can’t get it right<\/p>\n

dial pads and dial tones
\ntext messages and tangled hair
\nwet and in love (with the moment)
\nit’s like socialism for a day
\nwith dreams of prison and
\nhospital wards
\nor was it
\nwal mart in war time
\nsometimes I can’t remember
\nbut it’s always the same
\neven in the forest
\nsigns and road posts
\nmen in suits
\nforcing rules on the little folk<\/p>\n

i’ve told you it’s all just a circus
\ndo they think we’re that stupid?
\ni don’t like being told what to do
\npresumed guilty and force fed, rules
\ntasteless gruel, in
\nuncomfortable clothing with
\nno style, insults and invocations
\nconfined, regimented, licensed
\nthose regulations are written in
\nan unrefined manner (useless)
\nlocked in a beta test and
\nstumbling from place to place<\/p>\n

working six days a week is
\nintellectual slavery
\nand
\ndaily i seek to produce
\na mobile documentary
\nsomething
\nto let the world know
\nI’m still alive
\nthinking, and dreaming<\/p>\n

for you see i’m
\nchaos incognito
\na dew dropper who loves
\ngiggle water, sex
\nand the midnight air
\nthe feel of breasts
\nand a splash of hair
\neyes that hold me in a spell
\nbreathing in that sweet woman smell
\na body like a good book
\nbegging to be read
\nwith the whisper of songs
\nunsaid
\nit’s leisure in open source heaven
\nvirtual reality of the mind
\nand persistence made flesh
\nthe first time’s always the best
\nunsound, unsure and
\nremember how I told you
\nfate flies in fear of the moment
\ndid you know evil spelled backwards is live
\ntempus fugit, carpe diem
\nthe music possesses me
\ncaught in a trance of
\nhula hoopers and fire spinners
\ndrummers without rhythm and
\nbad spellers with a pocket full of
\ndrugs and information
\nhidden, in earnest desperation
\nwaiting for a hacker’s inspiration
\nmethodically we creep, something old something new<\/p>\n

looking for dart boards and pool tables
\nsilver bowling balls and crystal waterfalls
\nwe wear faded sun glasses and spill our drinks
\noff the edge of high cliffs
\ntake the leap going deep
\nskinny dipping under the
\npale light of a quarter moon<\/p>\n

i’ve tried so hard to be the villain
\ni wonder if theres any soul left
\neventually these summer nights will retreat
\nliving slowly on the embers
\nand walking on tired feet
\npast a real life movie set
\nscripted by cold actions that are incomplete
\nwith cigarette in hand
\nit’s nearly time
\nto forget
\njust gimme one last line\u2026
\na prayer and a sign<\/p>\n
