there is too little
\nas of late
\nthoughts flow like
\nmolasses
\nand the arteries of inspiration
\nare clogged
\nthe clock has run it\u2019s course
\nforward
\ntoward
\nthe end of an era
\nyet the morning still feels
\nrushed<\/p>\n

i remember a time when
\neach day awoken
\nthe world was
\nan undiscovered token<\/p>\n

now however
\na distilled quiet sets in
\nuntil the point where we are
\nunjustly repeated
\nand slowly defeated
\ncaught between
\nthe moment of
\nanticipation and anxiety<\/p>\n

living laggard
\nin limbo<\/p>\n

it’s\u00a0a hat trick
\na switch
\na nervous little twitch
\nand in the end
\nit\u2019s all the same
\nmuttering and stuttering
\nlike an over-medicated prophet<\/p>\n

we were promised that life
\nwould not be
\na zero sum game
\ngive and take
\nin hopes to make
\na brilliant flame<\/p>\n

now with beacons that loom on the horizon
\nand forceful fires lit
\nwe are eyeing a fixed point of light
\nas we set sail once again
\nrefusing to quit<\/p>\n

the archetypes struggle
\nfor the position of quartermaster
\nand the course is caught in
\nan uncertain cadence<\/p>\n

however<\/p>\n

the math never lies
\none equals two and two equals three
\nfollowing the procession<\/p>\n

forever rebels are we<\/p>\n
