\nhow to forget<\/p>\n

seething through the long nights
\nof knifed edge memories
\nhoping
\nwaiting
\nto be severed
\npainlessly
\nfrom this stubborn myth<\/p>\n

at times
\nthis mind feels like
\na rusty steel trap
\ncold, stained with time
\nand slow to open<\/p>\n

paled medium
\nno great media
\nand each creation
\nis built upon the last
\nbut
\nin a half assed
\nsort of way<\/p>\n

the rhythm has become a flood
\nand the melody is lost<\/p>\n

seeking an old stash
\ni\u2019ve robbed
\na forgotten cache
\nof cluttered words
\nand persistent images
\nto weave songs
\nsung anxiously
\nin the tune of
\na desperate exorcism<\/p>\n

i\u2019m not even sure
\ni can finish this thing
\ni\u2019ve started<\/p>\n

locked in this common shell
\nand bound to hell
\ni see now
\nhow
\nthe word is
\ntelemetry
\nand
\nthis world is
\non fire<\/p>\n

so
\nsleep now
\nwith nothing but
\nsoft colors
\ntethered to your soul<\/p>\n

it\u2019s better to die in peace
\nthan in panic<\/p>\n

when the time comes
\ni hope you\u2019ll know<\/p>\n
