<\/p>\n

strange thoughts on a thursday evening
\nthis whole day has been one of
\nanxiety and anticipation
\nseeking truth
\nwithin a world of lies<\/p>\n

undone and
\nleft with half a fifteen pack
\nconsumed
\nfrustration is
\nrolling up to the surface
\nthe nicotine helps
\nas i cope with visions of sex
\nand natural living<\/p>\n

it\u2019s cold outside
\nbut that breeze feels good
\ncrisp, sobering
\nand almost setting the mood
\nsuch bipolar weather
\nbut inside is warm
\nlit with a wood stove
\nand almost uninviting<\/p>\n

with half a buzz
\ni\u2019m forgetting complications
\nmeditating
\nin a strange sort of way
\nsmoking unfinished cigarettes
\nas i always do
\nit burns
\nand i cherish it
\nthis moment is raw and unfiltered<\/p>\n

i\u2019m at the crossroads once again
\nlucky that my cat
\ninsists on
\nsitting in my lap
\ni love that purr
\nthat rub
\nit\u2019s unconditional
\nheaven<\/p>\n

writing in this altered state
\ni\u2019m uninterrupted
\nin a glorious stream of consciousness
\nbut everything i say is bullshit
\nand that\u2019s the beauty of \u201cmy wisdom\u201d
\ni wonder does every poem need a title?<\/p>\n

shameless
\ni remember a gaze meant to distract
\nnameless
\ndying once and again
\nfor good measure<\/p>\n

longing for that touch
\nas these lines flow through me
\nif only i could harness them
\nand tap that unseen inspiration
\ni call it the bukowski method<\/p>\n

drunk and unfulfilled
\na different feeling begins to set in
\nwomen do it to me every time
\nno response but what did i expect
\nsometimes i feel like this is
\nnothing
\nand everything<\/p>\n
