growing up and
\nreaching out
\nwhitewashed among the winter sands<\/p>\n

what ever happened to the good old days?
\nreckless abandon
\nand unrestrained laughter
\nits just not the same anymore
\nblue greetings and too few smiles<\/p>\n

tell me how to live in an age
\nwhen everyone is lazy or afraid
\nit’s kinda crazy
\nwe are interconnected
\nand misunderstood<\/p>\n

wandering civilian cyberspace
\ni was mildly disassociated
\ndrawing on a warped clock
\nwith a sanguine cop
\nshell shocked
\ncock blocked
\nand fidgety
\nright up till the end<\/p>\n

it’s difficult to
\ncongregate these
\nconscious and coherent
\nthoughts
\ninto a box
\nlike a habitual hermit
\nherding cats
\nat sunset<\/p>\n

shadows under the eyes<\/p>\n

wait
\nI feel
\nthe situation is
\nconvening
\nand
\ncollapsing
\ntoward a mutual end<\/p>\n

lord help us
\nto raid this cache
\nand dispel the cult of death<\/p>\n

II<\/p>\n

\nnever compare yourself to others
\nand remember to finish what you start\u201d<\/p>\n

sunk and rumored to be unassuming
\nunrestricted and
\nvigorously consuming
\ncomposites of a past life<\/p>\n

i was
\nstuck on a single line
\nburning and unlearning
\nlistening in shallow time<\/p>\n

no surrender and
\nno release
\nhalf spoken
\nwords of peace
\nnot quite honest
\nan absurd press release<\/p>\n

seven days spent
\nsoaking in eventuality
\nsoiled and unsolicited
\nuncoiled and disinterested<\/p>\n

texting and hexing
\nthe spirit is
\nbloodthirsty and nontoxic
\nas the flesh flashes clean
\nand bones are grinding
\nunheard of and mean<\/p>\n

sometimes the common man
\ndoesn’t see
\nhow the world is
\nugly and beautiful
\nall at once<\/p>\n

the trick is to
\nsnatch creativity from
\nwhat is ugly
\nand appreciate what is beautiful
\nit’s a way to
\nstave off the inevitability of
\nstagnation or insanity
\nand
\nit’s the secret to my success<\/p>\n
